Our Osteopaths

Val Makinson has been working in South Cumbria since qualifying in Naturopathic Osteopathy in 1999.  She uses a mainly structural approach, but also includes some ‘cranial’ techniques that are suitable for everyone but especially older people and young children.  She does voluntary work in Lancaster with children with Cerebral Palsy and finds a combined approach of gentle cranial and muscle work very effective.

Mary-Clare Scragg qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 1986 and has since built up a busy broad based osteopathic practice in Barrow and Ulverston.  Alongside traditional structural osteopathic techniques she has furthered her interest in functional and cranial techniques at post graduate level. She has also studied at Po Traditional Medical School in Thailand. It was a result of talking to colleagues that Mary-Clare set up Queen Street Consulting Rooms to allow excellence to be pursued in health. 

Tim Webb After 15 years in the IT industry Tim retrained as an Osteopath in 1998. Since qualifying he has lived and worked in Cumbria. He has completed several post-graduate courses including Dry Needling and Reiki which he incorporates into his treatmentsa. Tim has an active interest in all aspects of complementary medicine.
